New Year Resolutions

A new year has begun and once again a list is drawn up with New Year Resolutions the title.

This years resolutions are:

No more E-Bay (well cut down anyway) bead collection is way to many at this stage if I didnt buy any more beads and made a necklace every day I have enough beads to last me a year.
Stick to diet.
Cut down on shopping (those just $10 purchases add up).
Be kinder to myself if I backslide on the above resolutions.

I just had a great idea, (and no, it wasn't in the middle of the night when great ideas usually pop into our heads), no, my idea came to me in the bathroom.

I am going to make a range of bracelets that also come with a chain to make into necklaces.

Using toggles for the clasp on the bracelet and putting a toggle of the same kind on the chain you can easily swap and change.

Look out for the range.

Rozelle Markets, Sunday 24 August 2008

First time for everything, and today was no exception. First time at markets but not the last.

8am to 3.30pm saw us at Rozelle Markets selling my jewellery. It was a profitable day, very relaxing (live band in background), fresh coffee when needed and pleasant people.

I got lots of positive feedback, which always makes you feel good about yourself.

Cant believe it has been a year since I last visited my blog.

I have been busy beading, (sorry for that BB) creating different designs and pulling them apart when they just dont feel right. Is that a weird creative thing or just me?

Have also resorted my beads into: colour, category i.e. gems, glass etc (very anal I agree) but makes for ease when locating that particular colour.

Hope you are all enjoying your pasttimes as much as I am. Enjoying life as much as I am and running the rat race as fast as I am.

Just what you need - another handy bead hint

We all need rubbish bins when beading.

But who doesn't get sick of having to bend down to put the bits of wire etc into the bin (I know I did) so I though why not bring the bin to you.

Grab a clear container (a glass jar is good) place on your work area; and

Purchase a cheap largish funnel, put it in the top of the jar/container;

Then when you are cutting wire, head pins etc you can do this directly over the funnel and voila! rubbish in the bin and because it is clear you can see when you have to make a trip to the real rubbish bin.
